The Shelf Bra *shown inside out*

This type of soft Fabric support has a body forming and a smooth, seamless appearance.   The shelf bra is perfect for smaller-mid busted women. It is built into the suit,  which creates a natural look.  Made from our nude, white or black 100% Nylon swimsuit lining.

With our Tankinis this support includes a 1.5 inch ribcage elastic to provide additional support to the back and bust and prevent strap slippage .... the lining features darts for contoured shape. This choice is offered in our Princess and Halter style Tops and Tankini's

With the ZenaSwimwear's Tankinis, the Concealed support features a 1.5 inch ribcage elastic which encircles the whole body to provide additional support to the back and bust and prevent strap slippage. This choice is offered in our Princess and Halter style Tops and Tankini's.

    molded cups
    Molded Cups *shown inside out*

With light support and a sleek, smooth appearance, Molded Cups are sewn or inserted into the shelf bra or lining of a Swimsuit. They are designed to mold  and lift the silhouette of your breast. They are seamless creating a smooth line, most Idyllic for shaping your breast.

In our Tankinis the Concealed support features a 1.5 inch elastic which encircles the whole body to provide additional support to the back and bust and prevent strap slippage. This choice is offered in our Princess, or Halter styled Tops and Tankini's.

ZenaTip: When ordering the molded cups they are not recommended for light solid fabrics as a very slight outer line will show thru... Your best bet would be prints, darker solids or textured fabrics which can hide the outline better.

Hard wired or Under wired *shown inside out*

This is where the wire is visible from the outside, exactly like many bra's that you own.
Our Bra Style Tankinis include both, the hard wire support and the additional hidden Shelf support feature, which includes the 1.5 inch elastic that encircles the whole body.

ZenaSwimwear uses three (3) different design methods to create our Bra Swimwear. The cups are usually created in 3-parts thus adding more support and style for larger sizes. The three (3) different methods are explained in a little more detail below.

Soft lined cup-- made from 100% Nylon lining. Zena Swimwear uses darts instead of gathers in the lining for more support and contour.
3 part partial foam-- where the top portion is lined with 100% Nylon lining, and the bottom has a thin 1/8 inch closed cell foam -- adding support and a little more lift.
3 part full foam -- which uses a thin 1/8 inch closed cell foam for the entire cup- mostly used in our Enhancer styles

Remember this body as you see it TODAY, not yesterday's or tomorrow's.

Be honest with what you see. Whether you are a size 2 or a 2X, your bust, waist and hip areas will either have curves, some curves or the areas might be more linear in shape. Think of your body type as your "outside lines." Use this outside line or silhouette to make appropriate swimwear style choices. You will look better; feel better about yourself and save money if you let your curves be your guide. Can you imagine Dolly Parton wearing a housecoat or a boxy jacket? The look would be unflattering to her curvaceous body! Being realistic about your outside lines brings harmony to your personal image

The first thing a woman should focus on is the area she'd like to downplay

Learning how to camouflage and de-emphasize these areas are made easier today with the wide selection of silhouettes, fabrics and styling offered by ZENASWIMWEAR. For instance, halter necklines and patterns on the bodice draw the eye up, away from the hips. Textured fabric like nylon and spandex  with its vertical ribbing elongates the torso and smooths out the extra curves.  View Details below !

    Your Horizontal Shape
If you have an Hourglass shape, you are curvy overall with a defined waist. Your hips and shoulders are similar width with a medium to large bust. Your legs are full at the thighs and rear, while your lower legs are slim and shapely.

goal: to accentuate the waist and lower legs, elongate the silhouette
    style: all styles suit you
    fabrics: All fabric combinations
The Triangle body type is often also referred to as
Pear-shaped. You have this shape if... Your full bust-line is proportionally narrower than your full hip-line and you have a well defined waist You typically have narrow shoulders You most likely have a balanced body or short legged vertical body shape Your thighs are typically full You may also have a full rounded bottom

goal: To balance out, emphasising your top half and drawing the attention away from your hips
style: Wear higher cut plain briefs to elongate the legs - Wear dark colours on your bottom half to minimise the hip area -Wear bright attractive colours and accessories on your top half, such as beads, ruffles and buckles - A padded bikini with cups will make you breasts seem bigger -Choose a ‘Princess’ cut for your bikini top or a halter style tops to broaden the shoulders A Tankini style top with square neck will also draw the attention away from your hips
    fabrics: All fabric combinations
Women with an Inverted Triangle shape have a full bust, waist and upper back. They are less full in the hips, and have a flat rear. They also have a pronounced tummy and midriff, with slim arms and legs. They have a top heavy appearance, with broad shoulders and a full bust. The bust is larger than the hips. The hips, thighs, buttocks and lower legs are smaller in proportion to the upper half.

goal: The goals for women with an inverted triangle body type are to balance the upper and lower torso, slenderize shoulders and bust, and accentuate thighs, hips and legs.
style: You want to show just the right amount of cleavage that will accentuate your assets without going over the top. This way, you will look sexy and classy at the same time. One of the best swimsuits for you if you have big bust is a V-neck one piece suit. This will show some of the cleavage while giving an illusion that the body is long. A swimsuit that has a thick halter top or one that has a wide band is flattering for this type of body. Those with underwire are also good options as they provide support to the bust.
    fabrics: Darker colors on top
This body shape is also referred to as an apple shape.
You have this body shape if... Your waist is undefined You have a large, high stomach You may have "love handles" You may also have a full bottom or a flat bottom

goal: The goals for women with an oval (apple) body type is to keep the focus away from the mid section, lengthen the upper torso and neck, and accentuate thighs, hips and legs.
style: Tankini's that are a little longer and don't stop at the waist.  For fuller figures we suggest higher waist bottoms.  One-piece swimsuit with belt will give the illusion that the body is curvy. A cami top that is not too tight or too loose and hides the belly is a good choice for this type of body. Bathing suits with empire waist will put the attention on the upper part of your body instead of the belly.

    Bikini Buying Tips
A general rule for good swimsuit flattery is to use darker colors on areas you would like to slim and understate and lighter and brighter colors on areas you would like to highlight (this rule also applies to general fashion). While a black swimsuit will likely do the trick for slimming your body, you may be able to do even better by using swimsuit colors wisely. For example, if you would like to de-emphasize your hips, try pairing dark red, blue, or black bikini bottoms with a light-colored bikini top. The light color will draw attention and eyes toward your bust and away from your hips. Another good slimming trick is to look for a Tankini in a generally bright color with darker insets on the sides. The insets will make your figure look thinner and more toned.
When looking at prints, pay attention to the color, size, and placement of the print. Prints on a darker background are more slimming. In addition, prints with allover swirls will stop the eye from focusing on any one area of the body.
While shiny fabrics will make the body seem larger, non-shiny, flat, matte style fabrics will slim the body the most. If you do like the idea of shine or sparkle in a swimsuit but not the enlarging effects, look for a shiny bikini in a muted or otherwise dark color. You can also add the shine to the contrasting trim. All of Zenaswimwear's solid Fabrics are a matte finish Nylon lycra.
Details on a bikini, such as Bows, Trims, Ruching, Gathers, and Ties will all grab attention. Use them wisely on an area of the body you would like to draw attention to and gain the benefit of drawing attention away from less desirable characteristics.
An often-misunderstood rule of swimsuit coverage is the fact that less is often more. Looking for more coverage in a swimsuit is not always the best way to deal with figure flaws. Using huge amounts of fabric to cover a large derriere may actually draw unwanted attention to that very section of the body. For example, women with wide hips often assume that the skirted swimsuit is the best style option for them. However, the skirt quite often ends at the widest part of the hips or thighs, serving only to make the area appear larger. A much better bet is to choose bikini bottoms with slightly higher cut leg openings that will elongate and slim the hips and thighs. As long as a swimsuit fits comfortably and highlights desirable characteristics, bare is almost always more beautiful.

Are you going to be swimming?

If you plan on swimming laps in the pool for exercise, a fitted Tankini or One Piece style is probably your best choice. If you'll be spending most of your time in a beach chair or walking along the shoreline, you can choose a less practical and more stylish type of maternity swimsuit

Give your ample breasts an extra bit of support. With Larger Breasts, you're going to need adequate support. The best option would be a wired Zena Suit. or maybe a shelf bra with underlying elastic and addition of an underwire. ZenaSwimwear also offers you the option of choosing a wider strap, which we recommend to all women who are a D+ size.

If you're smaller breasted, a bandeau style or halter top with soft cups or even a strapless style may work best, although a strapless style may be impractical if you plan on swimming laps in the pool.
